Mdina

Mdina is one of Europe's finest examples of an ancient walled city and extraordinary in its mix of medieval and baroque architecture.

The history of Mdina traces back more than 4000 years. According to tradition it was here that in 60 A.D. that the Apostle St. Paul is said to have lived after being shipwrecked on the Islands. Furthermore it is said that St. Paul resided inside the grotto know as Fuori le Mura (outside the city walls) now known as St. Paul's Grotto in Rabat. Lamp lit by night and referred to as "the silent city", Mdina is fascinating to visit for its timeless atmosphere as well as its cultural and religious treasures.

Food on Malta

Food in Malta  is a pretty big deal. The Maltese love food and their cuisine, which is inspired by local produce, but also influenced by neghbouring countries. Maltese food is something you need to try.

Of course, Malta is famous for its delicious fish and seafood.

Maltese Culture

If you are a more serious person and like places of worship, there are a lot of beautiful churches around the country.

Valetta

Valetta - the capital city of Malta, the most beautiful and picturesque town in the world (at least for me ;)

This is the street where my flat in Valetta was. Can you imagine leaving your flat and coming out onto a street like that?

If you are interested in seeing some more of Valetta (but you can't go there right now), here is a video for you.

Welcome - About Me

Hi, my name is Aleksandra, I am a teacher of English in a secondary school in the south of Poland. Right now I'm on Malta. You may ask why?

Well, because I'm attending a course in new technologies in St. Julian's, the town with lots of schools for students of English and also the most touristy spot on the island.

I have selected this course because in the times of COVID-19 all teachers need IT skills to be able to do their jobs, meaning teach students online.

On a course in Malta

Malta is perfect for attending an English course. Read this story.
